How barns are ordered
Barns with public ratings are ordered using the same confidence-adjusted formula in every market. The formula considers rating and review volume without letting a tiny handful of reviews dominate the list. Newer barns can appear without an invented score and are presented as unrated.
Public-review signals can provide context, but they are never a substitute for a tour, references, veterinary protocols, or your own judgment about horse care.
What to do next
Use the guide to make a focused first list. Call barns directly for current openings and complete costs, visit at a time when the barn is working, and ask every finalist the same questions. Confirm licensing, insurance, policies, references, and any horse-specific care requirement before signing an agreement.
